Kate has impeccable design, style and ideas.  I love seeing the different ideas and inspirations that this blog has to offer.  I also love how versatile it is providing ideas for furniture, decorating, holidays, sewing.....

Check this out.  I think every girl (especially one who is getting ready to go to college) should have one of these.  I got one right before I got married from my best friend and I love using it, especially during the hot summer months!

Have I ever told you guys how much I love fall???  Well, if you haven't heard me go on and on and on about how this is my favorite season, now you know that it is!  Because I love fall so much, Thanksgiving happens to be one of my favorite holidays.  This would be a great thing to make to get your house festive for the giving of thanks :)

Alright!  We all know that I love making pillows!  If you don't know this, talk with my husband...he's noticed my obsession with these fluffy objects :).  Look at how cool this is!

I'm baaaaack!

Sorry for my brief absence...Stephen and I ventured to Alaska for a week and then to our old Kentucky home for a week and now we're back!  I have a lot to share and I can't wait to blog about our adventures this week :).

Meanwhile, I wanted to leave you with these...have you seen these?!?!  My brother-in-law was SO excited to share these with us before we left for Alaska but we didn't get a chance to watch them.  Then, on our way to Seattle I got an email from my friend Jen who also was sharing these hilarious videos.  If you've already seen them then you know how hilarious they are - if you haven't then please enjoy!  In order to appreciate the 2nd one you must watch the 1st one :).

My sister introduced me to this amazing blog a couple of weeks ago and I was instantly hooked!  Cathe is the owner of this magnificent blog and she is a graphic designer in California.  Not only does she have amazing ideas but she also provides great printables on this blog.

I love the way this turned out and the tutorial is fabulous.  This would be a great Christmas gift for anyone with kids.

I love the way this looks!  What a great use of old cabinet doors!  Again, her tutorial is great and she helped inspire me on a project for my home.

Let me tell you, I could spend a lot of time linking things up from Just Something I Made, but why would I do that when you can head over there yourself and find things that you love!  Stop by here and let me know if you found anything worth doing yourself :)

Learning to Sew with the help of Mom!

Remember how my mom came and visited me a week ago?  Well, she's SUPER handy to have around for someone who wants to learn how to sew all things and doesn't know how to sew more than a straight line! While she was here, we decided to tackle an apron...with a pattern!  Talk about scary!  Remember, I don't know what I'm doing, I just got into all of this stuff!  There is NO way that I would've been able to do this had she not been here to talk me through all the sewing lingo and pattern rules that are out there.  But, after successfully making one with her watchful eye directing me, I am confident that I could make another!  Here is my reversible apron:
