Christmas Card Display

Last year I ran into the problem of having Christmas cards that I wanted to display but didn't have a good home for.  This year, I decided to change that by using some ribbon and the utility closet door in our dining room :).  I went to Michaels and picked out 2 different designs of ribbon - one that was really wide (the striped) and one that was thinner (the see-through red).  I then purchased enough to cover the height of my door twice (if you look closely, I should've bought an extra spool of the thinner ribbon because I ran out).  I also purchased little baby clothes pins to use to hold the cards to the ribbon.  I layered 1 long piece of the striped ribbon in back of the thinner, red ribbon so that I could attach the cards to the thinner ribbon.  I used push pins to hold the ribbon into place and viola!  I ended up with a fun, festive way to practically show off my Christmas cards year after year!

a closer look:

I fully intend on bagging these supplies up and pulling them out year after year to showcase my Christmas cards!

  1. that is a GREAT idea! I never know where to put my cards either, and Philip hates it when I stick them on our fridge. I may steal this idea!
